Palisades Village’s much anticipated opening day on Saturday, September 22 welcomes the community to enjoy a thoughtfully curated collection of unique retail stores and restaurants, a specialty market, a deluxe movie theatre with five screens and food and beverage service, a community room for local organizations, eight apartment units and a three-level underground parking structure. The charming, low-density destination created by uber real estate developer Rick Caruso is destined to be an inviting new town center for the community.
Designed with an eclectic mix of one- and two-story buildings in architectural styles ranging from mid-century modern to coastal village, Palisades Village was created to fit in seamlessly with the neighborhood. The 3-acre, 125,000-square-foot project sports broad, brick walkways; an inviting, landscaped lawn for lounging and dining; and a wider Swarthmore Avenue with angled parking (thanks to the conversion to a one-way street from the alley to Monument Street).
The first ground-up retail center in the area to earn a LEED Gold rating for its shell and core, the Village’s “green” features include solar panels, stormwater retention systems, permeable open-space landscaping and electric vehicle charging stations and a complimentary bike-sharing program.
“Palisades Village represents the evolution of what we have always built at Caruso,” says Developer Rick Caruso. “We are in the business of creating beautiful places that are woven into the everyday fabric of the community; places that make people happy and add to the quality of life. We are so proud that this property will offer something for everyone and create a new daily destination for locals and their families.”
Known for upscale developments, attention to detail and dedication to the community, Caruso’s diverse portfolio includes The Grove and Americana at Brand. Some of Palisades Village tenants include the following:
