Pepperdine Boutique Benefits the Arts

The 2018 Holiday Boutique and Luncheon at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks featured over 80 attendees from the L.A. and Pepperdine University community. The annual event helps raise funds for Center for the Arts’ education activities and programs, including the ARTSReach program, which provides free professional performances and museum tours to schoolchildren throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. This year’s Boutique featured 10 vendors, as well as performances by students from Pepperdine’s Fine Arts Department.

Local Author Pens New Thriller

Bestselling local novelist Ron Barak is back with his latest, The Puppet Master, a prequel to the highly acclaimed first book in his Brooks/Lotello thriller series, The Amendment Killer

What if they took everything you had, your family, home, business, dignity, even—perhaps—your sanity? “Have you ever killed anyone? I have. I’ll do it again. If I need to.” A story about a political system gone awry—and those who feel compelled to fix it.

Best Thrillers Magazine called it “An outstanding, relentlessly paced whodunnit with sky-high stakes and a jaw-dropping twist. One of the year’s best thrillers.”
